Implementing a Centralised Grant Management Solution
A UK-based charity approached our consultancy team to modernise a Grant Management process that relied heavily on spreadsheets, email communication, and disjointed document storage. Grant applications submitted online were manually transferred into spreadsheets, which were then used to manage the full grant lifecycle, including approvals and document generation. This fragmented approach created challenges around reporting, data visibility, and accessing supporting documentation. To address these issues, we designed and documented a tailored NetSuite Grant Management solution to establish a single source of truth across the organisation.
Delivering NetSuite Customisation and Workflow Automation
Given that standard NetSuite Grants functionality is primarily geared towards managing incoming funding applications, we developed a customised solution aligned to the organisation’s role as a grant provider. The grant application process was integrated directly into NetSuite so that new submissions automatically generated records within the platform, including all attached supporting documentation. In addition, our team re-engineered the existing manual processes into a structured and automated workflow, introducing approval routing and process automation to improve consistency, reduce administration, and strengthen operational control.
Delivering Reporting and Long-Term Operational Flexibility
Alongside process automation, a comprehensive suite of reporting tools was developed to provide greater oversight of grant activity, application progress, and operational performance. Historical and legacy data were consolidated to improve accessibility and reporting accuracy. To support long-term adoption, users were also trained to modify existing reports and create ad-hoc reporting where required, enabling the organisation to respond more efficiently to evolving operational and reporting needs.
